About Us
Alliance Cooperative Society Ltd was conceived in February 2018 as Nigerians Alliance, Qatar after the realization that there was a need for Nigerians in Qatar to have a platform where ideas to achieve a common purpose will be discussed and implemented.
It was the initiative of Victor Ayegba and Humphrey Chukwu, after which members were meticulously selected. The maiden meeting was held at Burger King in Doha, Qatar for the Founding members on 9th March, 2018.
The initial idea was to establish a school with British curriculum in Qatar, however that idea has been put on hold in the interim.
Alliance Cooperative Society Ltd, in its current form, commenced operations in 2020, registered under CAP: NO 98 of the Nigerian Co-operative Societies ACT/ 2004; It was registered by the Registrar of Cooperatives Abuja, on 20th November 2020, and primary area of operations is FCT Abuja Nigeria. The activities of the Cooperative Society is being coordinated through the Secretariats in Abuja and Qatar.
The Cooperative Society currently has over 57 members spread across three (3) continents – Asia, Europe and Africa, even as it has continued to promote wealth and welfare of members through the spirit and practice of mutual help and investments. The general management of its affairs is entrusted in the “Management Committee” (MC) which is a body of democratically elected 7-member Executives. The Management Committee is made up of thoroughbred professionals who have proven competence and trust in the management of the collective wealth of members.
